The grand jury at Duncan, 1. T..
repor'ed that It had 'investigated one
case where some ladles and gentlemen
engaged in a progressive game ol
hearts for a prize," and that It "found
that the effect of playing for pri:es at
social parties was as baneful as gamb-

The city fathers at their last regu-
lar meeting a week ago u night passed
an ordinance making it Unlawful for
any person to jump off and on trains

This ordinance now makes It the duty
of the marshal to arrest and bring be-
fore the police court a I offenders and
particularly the small boys who for
sometime past have spent several
hours each day around the railroad
yards jumping on and off trains. The
parents cf boys should be on the look-

The city council cf Edmond suouid
never let up on trying to find some

proposition up means the loss cf thou
sands of dollars to this beaut.ful young
city. Talk It. See if something
cant be done, and done at once.
