Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mades who
have spent a week In Oklahoma City
where Mrs. Mades has been under-
going treatment in a hospi'al returned
the la'ter part of last week, and it will
be gratifying news to learn that she is
feeling much better.
C. R Kelsey, of Oklohoma City,
was up yesterday and sold his eighty
acres on Chisholm creek to H. F.
Easton consideration $2700. Mr.
Easton and family have been spending
the past week In this vicinity the guest
of D. N. McGowan and family, and
the neighbors of these estlmabl# peo-
ple will be pleased to learn that they
have purchased land and Intend to
make their home here. This Is an-

The subject of Rev. Wardners last
Sunday morning sermon at the Pres
byterian church, which is holding Its
services in the Woodman Hall, was
••The Mind of Christ." In the eve
ning he spoke on "The Greatest Ques-
tion a Man Can Ask."

The Normal Confectionery and
Restaurant was moved this week to
the rooms formerly occupied by the
Little Gem restaurant. Mr. Holstein
will fix up the new location and be

a few days.

St. Valentines day will be very
appropriately observed In this city if
only one half of the comic and beau-
tiful valentines on disp'ay in Edmond
are sold. There Is a more beautiful
and varied display this year than ever
before.
A full line of Carpet Samples. Ax-
mlnster, Velvet Brussles and etc. on
exhibition tor one week at R isen-
burg's. After that time they will be
returned to the factory.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Billen left the
latter part of last week for Walter
where they will spend some time visit-
ing their daughter, Mrs. Delay. They
wish to thank their friends for the
courteous treatment they received the
last week of their stay in this neigh-
borhood.
J. H. Hubble who has been the
manager and pharmacist of the How-
ard Drug Store informed this paper
that he had decided to return to nis
old home in Springfield. Missouri, and
would probably leave the I itter part of
this week Since coming to Edmond
both Mr and Mrs Hubble have made
a Urge circle of acquaintances and
friends wno will regret their removal
from this citv. but wish them happi
ness in their ola home
During the past week several
changes of city real estats have taken
place among which we are able to
note the following: Dr. Howard has
sold his residence property to Henry
Miller and w|i| move to the house now
occupied by J. H. Hubble, whf'e Mr.
Miller intends to move to the Howard
property. W K Chapman having
sold his property has purchased the J.
F. Baldwin house on South Broadway
and will move to the new home in
about thirty days. Mr. Baldwin pur-
chased the Flickenger property now
occupied by P. C Slack's There
are other sales brewing which are not

Horse, Jolly, on the streets of Edmond

Horse dentistry is new comparatively
speaking, but many diseases of the
horse are caused by bad teeth.
A few of the symptoms are: Slob-
bering while eating or driving, driving
on one rein and hard pulling, stopping
short, starting suddenly, loss of flesh,
weak eyes, taking a mouthful of food
and spitting it out, rough hair, cribbing,
subject to colic, hard keeper, enlarge-
ment either on upper or lower jaw. If
your horse has any of the above
smyptoms bring him to me.
Will be In Piedmont from Febru-
ary 16 until 22, 1907. Will give a
free exhibition with the Celebrated
Educated and Trick Horse. Jolly, on
