Mrs. Thomas Koilis has gone to

San Antonio, Texas for the benefit of

Oscar Laborde of Carney, Neb ar-
rived in this city last Saturday to visit

H. W. Miller was a Mulhall visitor
yesterday where he purchased a fine
span of mares for his farm work.
H. S. Easton and family of Califor-
nia are visiting the family of, D. N.
McGowan southwest of this city.
Mrs. George Fox spent a few days
the latter part of last week in Oklaho-
ma City the guest of her daughter,
Mrs, Carl Jones.

View, have arrived here and taken
possession of the farm he recently
purchased from Lewis Zerban.

S. H Fink, of Oregon Missouri,
who has been spending the past ten
days in Edmond the guest of his
brother, left last Friday for his home
Ward Kearby while r'ding on a hay
wagon Monday had the misfortune to
run the tine of a pitchfork into his leg
just above the ankle making a painiul
wound.
Louis Voisou oi the Cyclone Store
will leave the latter part of this week
for St. Louis where he will visit the
markets and make spring and summer
selections.
Rev. Wallace of Edmond will hold
preaching services at Hopewell bap-
tist church next Sunday afternoon at
3 p. m. All are cordially invited to

Howard Hines who has made his
home in this city for the past two
years will leave the latter part of this
week for his home In Lewisburg, Ken-
tucky. Howard has made a number
of friends in this city who will regret
his removal.

Howards drug store has been closed
several days this week on account of
the Invoice being made preparatory to
the change of proprietors. Everett
Hiatt has taken charge.
One day this week while the 16
months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Drury was playing with a
washing machine the wheel came off
and lit on the little ones foot breaking
two toes.
The mist falling and freezing on the
sidewalks of the city made the pedes-
train wish he were in a warmer cli-
mate yesterday and many of them
tooK the middle of the street for sure-
footing.
Word has just reached this city of
the birth of a twelve pound girl to
Oble Offield and wife (nee Ethel Sur-
ber) at their home near Golden City,
Mo. The little one made its appear-
ance January 2d.
In a dispute between two Mexicans
who were working on the railway near
Arcadia, last Thursday night, Manuel
Reyna attempted to carve up Monica
Moride with a dirk, when the latter
beat the former to death with a shovel.
Tuesday evening Ketha Kaylcr
tertained a number of friends at
home of her aunt, Mrs. F. E. Buell.
The evening was spent in playing
games and a most enjoyable time was
had by all. An elegant luncheon was
served.
The item In regard to the marriage
of Carl Bundy and Lalia Fleetwood,
published in last week paper was an
error. It was not however, our mistake
but we gladly make the correction.

order in Guthrie Wednesday evening
The boys all report an excellent time
and were especially pleased with the
treatment accorded them by the Guth-
rie lobge.
Hartman Leonhard and family, of
Beardstown, Illinois, arrived in this
city the latter part of last week and
are now at home on the Nave farm
northwest of this city. W. H. and
Ed. Leonhard of this city are sons of
H Leonhard and wife.
I E. Shinn and family are now oc-
cupying their new home south of this
city having purchased the Hindes
place. They arrived some two weeks
ago from their former home In Monroe
City, Missouri. Mr. Shinn has one of
the best farms in this neighborhood.
Tuttle & Co., this week announce
the sale of the S. S. Meek farm one
mile south and one and one half miles
east of this city to H. Haberman.
Tney also announce that they have
sold the old Garrett homestead to C.
E. Paully, whose present home lies on
ttie north of his late purchase.
T. C. Brickel was In Monday tell-
ing the force that a now butcher had
arrived at his home Saturday evening
The young man went on duty at 10:30
p. m., which was rather a late hour.
However Mr. Brickel says he will let
the youngster rest a few years before
putting him at work on the block.
Several members oi the Presbyter-
ian church were busy the firsf of this
week moving the church furniture to
the M, W. A. hail, where services wilf
be held until such time as the new
church Is completed. They will turn
the old bnilding over to Its purchasers
•tomorrow.
Yesterday afternoon several auto-
mobiles driven by out of town par-
ties went through this city at the rate
of about twenty miles an hour. The
marshal should stop these machines
even should he be compelled to shoot
a tire off. Human life is in danger
when these machines are going so fast.
All parties knowing themseives in-
debted to the Enterprise on subscrip-
tion are requested to call at their earl-
iest convenience and settle. Espec-
ially those who are in arrears more
than two years. They are very few
and an early settlement will be appre-

On last Sunday night Prof. W. L.
Ross, pastor of the Christian church
preached on the subject "What is
Christian Baptism?" There were two
baptized after the service. Next Sun-
day night the subject will be "Who
should be Baptized." February 10th
the night subject will be "What Bap-
tism Is for."
Next Sunday the services of the
Presbyterian church will be held in
the Woodman hall In the Bennett
building on Broadway. Sunday school
at 10, divine worship at 11 a. m and
7:30 p. m., junior services at 3. senior
society of Christian Endeavor at 6:30,
question box prayer meetings Thursday
evenings. Everyone is cordially in-
vited to attend these services
