Vassar Chocolates
None have their Flavor,
their Quality, their Popularity
Fresh, mellow, and full of flavor. You will be delighted
with them wherever you buy them.
Rich with moist filling —deeply coated with the most
expensive chocolate—Vassar Chocolates have a taste, a
quality—give a satisfaction not obtainable in other
chocolates.
There is no secret about the goodness of Vassar Choco-
lates—their popularity comes from the use of the purest
ingredients—the care in their making and the protection ot
their packing.
Each Vassar Chocolate is protected like the kernel of a nut,
for each it individually wrapped in moisture-proof parchment ;
the layers are separated to prevent crushing of their own
richness, and the elegant box is then encased in dainty
parchment and sealed with the Loose-Wiles guarantee of
quality and freshness. The flavor is permanently retained;
| there are no dried-out Vassar Chocolates.
Loose-Wiles Vassar Chocolates and the other dainties
from their sunlit confectioner's kitchens are obtainable
everywhere. i'

■EE BOY
IS NOT GUILTY
Clew Holt, the Shawnee boy who
ivas arrested recently at his home in
the east part of the city on the
charge of horse stealing and taken to
Norman, returned from that place
Saturday, having been completely ex-
onerated of the charge. The theft
on wihich Holt was accused of having
been implicated was committed two
years ago at Norman, a team of hors-
es being stolen by two men. A spec-
tator thought that "ne recognized Hon
as one of them, and his arrest follow-
ed, but it proved to be clearly a case
of mistaken Identity.

one the subject of t.he undertaker.
Sheriff Harrison was notified by

McAlester along the Katy railroad

with spring and early summer, can
be quickly changed to a feeling of
buoyancy and energy by the Judicious
use of Dr. Shoop's Restorative. The
Restorative is a genuine tonic to tired,
rundown nerves, and but a few doses

ing that tired spot. The indoor life
of winter nearly always leads to slug-

WILE BE BUILT
The Shawnee Central railroad will
be built. This statement Is confiden-
ly made by those In touch with the
proposition at the present time.
It is perhaps not generally known
that a thorough and complete survey
a permanent and final survey, of the
line to Muskogee was made by the
local promoters, and the right of way
secured and paid for. The work on
Burvey was done by experienced rail
way engineers, who were hired at a
great expense, compared with the nec-
essary cost of having Che work done
order that the permanent survey,
when completed, might be in such a
shape as to be ready for the grading
of the roadbed without further fig-
uring, Whoever builds nine road
now will only have to drive his stakes
before beginning the grading work.
It is the determination ot the Real-
ty Exchange that the road be com-
pleted when begun, or not started at
all. No half-way measures will be
used. It is fully realized that the
completion of a line to the northwest
will be a great assistance to Shawnee
in the capital fight, and there is a
pretty general feeling that every-
thing else should be sidetracked now
for the undertaking.
Saturday afternoon the neoessary
funds for sending two men to tih<e
east to find a bond market were rais-
ed by a committee composed of Pike
Baker, Dan Crafton. Dan Kennedy
A. M. Coffin and L. Wheeler.
Some time this week J. M. Ayde-
lotte and C. J. Benson will leave for
the east, and will go to Europe if
necessary. H. T. Douglas will ac
company them.
In the meantime plans for raising
a bonus will be discussed, and some
conclusion will be arrived at.
Shawnee has done great things in
the past and has thus secured good
railroads, and large enterprises, bhe
will demonstrate that the "good old
days" are still here, and that she is
still in the full vigor of her youth.
