Women Who Wear WelL
' Uh astonishing how great a change
a lew y4 of married life often make
la the appearanoe and disposition of
many women. The freshness, the
oharas, the brilllanoe vanish like the
bloom from a flower whloh Is raddjH
handled The matron Is only a dim
shade*, a faint eoho of the charming
aaMten. Few young women appreciate
the stock of the system through the
ohaag* which comes with marriage/and
aratfeerhood. Many negleot to deal with
the oapleasant pelvlo drains and weak-
nesses which too often come with mar-
riage and motherhood, nM understand-
ing that this secret drain 1s robbing the
Oheek of Its freshness and the form o(
fls fairness.
As surely as the general health suffers
whan there is derangement of the health
•t lb* delicate womanly organs,eoSurely i
*h«a these organs are establish^ lQ
health the face and form at once witness
to Iks fact in renewed comeliness.
Mora than a million women have found
health and happiness In the use of Dr.
Ptercs's Favorite Prescription. It makes
weak women strong and sick women
well. Ingredients on label—contains
no alsohol or harmful habit-forming
drags. It is made wholly of those
native, Amerioan, medicinal roots most
highly recommended by leading med-
io al authorities of all the several schools
of practice for the cure of woman's
psoultar ailments.
For nursing motliers, or for those
brokeo-dowu in health by too frequent
bearing of children, also for the expect-
ant mothers, to prepare the system for
the coming of baby and make Its ad-
vent easy and almost painless, there Is
no medicine quite so good as " Favorite
Prescription." It can do no harm in
any condition of the eyitem. It Is a
nod potent Invigorating tonic and
strengthening nervine, nicely adapted
to woman's delicate system bv a phy-
stolan of large experience In the treat-
ment of woman's peculiar ailments.
Bad Symptoms. The woman who
has periodical headaches, hacltaolie, sees
Imaginary dark spots or specks floating
ordanoing before her eyes, has gnawing
distrw or heavy full feeling in stomach,
faint spells, dragging-down feeling in
)ow6f abdominal or p«lvto region, easily
startled or eicited, irregular or painful
periods, with or without pelvlo catarrh,
fa suffering from weaknesses and de-
rangements that should have early at-
tention. Not all of above symptoms are
likely to be present In any case at one
time.
Neglected or badly treated and such
oases often run Into maladies which de-
mand the surgeon's knife if they do not
result fatally.
No medicine extant has such a loni
harmful, or habit-forming drug is to be
found in the list of Its ingredients print-
ed on each bottle-wrapper and attested
trader oath as complete and correct,

recnlate the whole female system and
especially the pelvic organs. When
these are deranged in function or eject-
ed by disease, the stomach and other
organs ofdlgestlon become sympatheti-
oulf deranged, the nerves are weak-
ened, and a long list of bad, unpleasant
symptoms follow. Too much mnst not
be expected of the " Favorite Prmcrip-
tloe." It will not perform miracles;
will not cure tumors—no medicine win.
It will often prnml them, if taken in
time, and thus the operating table and
the surgeon's knife may be avoided.
Doctor's All Agroe. The most emi-
nent writers on Afatma Miiteai whose
works are consulted as authorities by
physicians of all the different schools of
practice, extol, In the most positive
terms, the curative virtues of each and
every Ingredient entering Into Dr.
Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery In
fact It Is the only medicine, put up for
sale through druggists for the cure of
all diseases of the mucous surfaces, as
nasal catarrh, throat, laryngeal, and
bronchial affections attended by linger-
ing, or hang-on-coughs that has any
sucn profeanonal endorsement—worth
more than any amour* of lay or non-
professional testimonials.
Do not expect too much from the nse
of Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Dis-
covery. It will not work miracles. It
will not cure consumption in its ad-
vanced stages. No medicine will. Nor

prolunonal indorsement of each-of its
several ingredients—worth more than
any number of ordinary non-profes-
sional testimonials. The very best in-
gredients known to medical scienoe for
the core of woman's peculiar ailments
enter into its composition. No alcohol,
companied with wasting of flesh, night-
sweats, weak stomach and poor digestion
with faulty assimilation, and which, If
neglected or badly treated are apt to

has proven wonderfully successful in
effecting cures.
The formula Is printed on every

substitute of unknown composition for
this now-secret remedy no matter what
selfish interests may prompt the dealer

CATTLE AND THEIR VALUES.
San Antonio, Tex., March 27.—
(Special)— In the report of the Ctftnp-
troller of Public Accounts, received
from the printer this morning, there
is contained statistical information
concerning the cattle industry which
is of particular interest at present.
During the fiscal year ending August
Sist, 1807, there were rendered on
the assessment rolls of the various
countries of the state 6,504,066 cat-
tle, their value being $59,138,381, aver
age value $9.09, in contrast to $6,015,
S59 as the number of cattle, $54,990,
;'.6?. their value and $9.14 their aver
age value for 1906. An Increase over
last year's report is shown in num-
ber of 488,197, and In value of $4,-
140,018. This hardly indicates that
the cittle industry Is on the wane In
Texas.
SULPHUR WANTS STATE INSTI-
TUTION.
Sulphur, Okla., March 27.—(Spec
lall—Representatives of this city went
to Guthrie this week to appear be-
fore the committee on public build-
ings and present the claims of Sul-
phur for one of the state normals.
The exceeding healthfulness of this
great National report and the unusual
desirability of the city of Sulphur and
her surroundings for a great state
educational institution, and especially
a great state normal, will be urged.
frhe following taken from the Fort
Worth Record of Wednesday morn-
ing will be found consoling to those
mfen that hive been layed off during
tHe past few weeks. The rush soutu
means a rash north and the same in-
crease of force:
Adding fifteen train crews between
Fort Worth and Denlson on the Fris-
co, calling for additional locomotives
with which to pull extra trains, col-
lecting of transportation men at Big
Springs, on the Texas & Pacific, for
the purpose -of evolving plans by
which to handle the biggest stock
movement in several years, were evi-
dences yesterday, around the Fort
Worth railroad offices of reviving
prosperity.
The northbound stock movement on
the Frisco will begin this morning,
when several trains will pass through
the city from Brady, San Angelo, Dub
lln and elsewhere south of Forth
Worth.
This movement of stock on the
Frisco, according to General Live-
stock Agent E. F. Tillman, will be
just as heavy. If not heavier, than
last spring. He has just returned
from a trip to San Angelo and Brady
and i« familiar with the situation.
The movement while beginning this
morning, will, however, not be under
full headway before April 1.
J. W. Ward, superintendent of the
Rio Grande division of the Texas &
Pacific, has called a conference at
Big Springs between himself, Assist-
ant Superintendent James A. Hlllls
and Fort Worth Local Freight Agent
A. W. Montague. The latter two left
last night for Big Springs. This con
ference is called for the purpose of
discussing the outlook and agreeing
upon plans to handle the business
from that section, which will be un-
expectedly heavy.
The Texas & Pacific will also add
several dozen freight crews on the
Rio Grande division during the stock'
movement and some of the engines
that have been standing Idle at Mar-
shall will be brought out to furnish
the motive power for the cattle
trains.
The working of the federal six-
teen hour law will be felt this spring
by the railroads in the handling of
the cattle business and will necessi-
tate the employing of more than the
ordinary number of crews.

There is a jail breaker in the city
and although the police officials are
a man of his Identity and have seen
and conversed with him a number of
times they have made no effort to
place him uader arrest.
There is to reasons. The flrat Is
that there Is no criminal charges
against him, and the second is that
it would be of no use to put him in
the lockup tor be would escape la
a very short time.
The mime of this "jail breaker" is
