Cough Caution
Never, positively never poison jour lungs- II ron

always heal, soothe, and ease the Irritated bron-
chial tubes. Don't bUndly suppress It with a
stupefying poison. It'a strange how gome thlngi

has constantly warned people not to take cough
mixtures or prescriptions containing Opium.
Chloroform, or similar poisons. And now—a little
late though—Congresa says "Put it on the label.
If poisons are In your Cough Mixture." Good I
Very good 11 Hereafterforthisvery reason mothers,
and others, should insist on having Dr. 8hoop's

law be on the label. And it's not only safe, but It
is said to be by those that know It best, a truly ra-
markable cough remedy. Take no chance then,
particularly with your children. Insist 011 having

New York, March 21.—Madame
Anna Gould, the divorced wife of
Count Boni de Castellane, arrived
here Thursday on the steamer Adri-
atic, and took immediate occasion to
stifle the gossip that, shuffing be-
tween two continents, has associated
her future plans with teh name of
Helie de Sagan.
De Sagan, to whom French custom
also accords a title—that of prince-
is a cousin of the count. He has
figured more or less in the affairs of
the Castellanes. Posing as her
champion following the divorce pro-
ceedings, De Sagan came to be cred-
ited with prospects of marrying the
plaintiff, but no sooner had Madame
Gould set foot upon American soil
than she declared:
"I have had enough of married
life. I am not engaged .to any one."
Madame Gould was accompanied
from Paris by her three sons, Boni
Jay and (Korge, the custody of whom
the French courts awarded to the
mother. The party was met at the
pier by Miss Helen Gould, Mrs.
George Gould and Mrs. Tyler Morse.
All were later driven to the Fifth
avenue home of Miss Gould.
Following the exchange ofgreetings
as the steamer was berthed, Madame
Gould added to her earlier declara-
tion:
"No," shesaid "not only am I not
engage^, to be married, but I do not
intend to become engaged. Nor am I
here in an effort to put a stop to stor-
ies of an engagement r.r for the pur-
pose of arranging matters concerning
my property interests in Paris. My
visit here is to repay a visit my sis-
ter Helen made me in Paris a year
ago. I had often wanted to visit my
country during my married life, but
Count Boni always objected."
"I expect to remain two months,
promised my sister Helen when she
visited me that I would come to see
her, and I shall bewith her at her
her, and all the time I am in the coun-
try, with the exception of the time
I spend taking the children to Nia-
gara Falls, which they are anxious to
With that exception I shall not
go out of New York.
I am more delighted than I can
say to be back in America," Madame
Gould added. "Notwithstanding this
is my first visit, here in nearly five
years, and that I live in Euro.pe, my
heart is still here, and will always
remain."

OF
IKE MAMMOTH STORE
The annual Spring Opening of the
Mammoth Department Store yester-
day was a perfect success, and during
the entire day the store was thronged
with an interested crowd of shop-
pers, eager to see the latest things
in millinery, ready to wear articles,
dry goc-ds, clothing, shoes, etc. The
display all over the store was a hand-
some one, th'jr variety and beauty
of the offerings being of unusual pro-
portions. Everywhere was loveliness
displayed, and there was plenty to
keep busy the most alert admirer
of the beautiful and useful.
The visitors were treated with the
courtesy which has ever character-
ized the Mammoth Department
Store's force of salespeople, and ev-
erybody was shown the same atten-
tion. On the second floor in the
ready to wear department fruit
punch from the Shawnee Ice Cream
& Novelty Co. was served by young
ladies, ten gallons being used the af
ternoon and evening.
Altogether it was «a most success-
ful opening, and one that will long
be remembered by the shoppers of
Shawnee.
