Haskell Is now defaming the per-

looked at the picture I thought It
was a good likeness of J. Harvey
Lynch, and I have heard many other
people who were well acquainted with
Mr l.ynch say that they thought It
was a very good likeness of him.
But the one person who knew bet-
ter than any one else whether he had
been an ex-eonvict was Mr. Lynch
himself. But what was his conduct?
I have heard some good friends of his
say that his conduct tended to prove
the charge. What kind of a man is
he who will rest under a charge of
that kind until driven to resent It
by the playmates of his children?
And then to publish to the world
that he would seek satisfaction In a
damage suit. And it took Mr, Lynch
over two months to make this an-
nouncement. IF REALLY SLAN-
DERED IN THAT MANNER THE
HASKELL AND THE CONSTITU-
TIONAL JOKERS.
