A boundary dispute which threaten
inrolvsa the territory of Oklahoma ii
controversy with the federal government
is on at Keokuk Palls; a border town la
the northeast part of this cqosty. Gov-
ernment surveyors have htca working on
the hue bet wees Oklahoma and the
Creek nation for several days and the re-
salt of their investigations has beer. ■«>
the new line, or rather the proper line,
as fixed by them, gives the Creek nation
a strip 90 yards wide om. -hat has a. ways
been considered Oklahoma Territory.
Farms and orchards, teeming with crop*,
ire cut in two by the new arrangement
and the owners find that, it the new sur-
vey stands, they may have no titles to
their property. Garden and much valu-
able timber are also included in the strip
added to the nation. This line has long
been iu dispute and this is the third time
it has been surveyed. The line in dis-
pute runs nine miles due north from the
Canadian river and then angles off north-
east until it strikes the original line.
A CREEPING DEATH.
Flood poison creeps up towards the
heart, causing death. J. E. Stearns,
Belle Plaiae, Minn., writes that a friend
dreadfully injured his hand, which
swelled up like blood poisoning. Buck-
leu's Arnica Salve drew oat the poison,
healed the wound, and saved his life.

its the looks of the garment nowadsys,
and not the "feel" of it that counts.
It is unjust to the Czar's troops to say
that they never indulge in target prac

Mr. C. B. Wainwright, of l^emon City,

much better results areohtnined from the
use of Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and

Mrs. Dlirirll'i Economy.
Of the rigid tc jnornjr practiced by
Mrs. DUraeli there Is one very good
story told: Mrs. Disraeli and her bt - f
band'hud come down from London to ,
spend the Easter vacation at Hughen-
deu and ha I called on the various
tradesmen at Wycombe to order the
groceries and other r< ,ulrernrnts for
their teg days' or fortnight's stay. It
•o fiaI'jK'ned that their sojourn was
rather abruptly shortened, and Mrs
Disraeli was seen calling st the gro
cers and other purveyors, taking out ol
the carriage the nonconsumed ware
and asking the shopk<-et>ers to recelvi
them back und have them reweighe
and so to make a reduction in their ac-
counts.
The great statesman, with folded
itoih. was leaning back In the carriap.'
perfectly nonchalant, but evidently de
•lrous to have no share In the frugal
transaction. Huch rigid economy was
no longer required after the old lady
who so admired bis t>ooks died and left
him her entire fortune, amounting to
over £40,000 —London Tit-Bit*.

Flight of the Woodrofk.
Borne writers have claimed that the
woodcock Is sure In bis flight, never
becoming entangled in briers or creep
tng vines when In swift flight through
elose cover. That may have been their
experience, but is not mine. I have
seen woodcocks when flushed In such
spots become so entangled that they
were forced to cease flying and drop to
the ground to again make a new start
In flying. I remember one old fellow
that aat hidden before the stand of
one of my setters until I almost step-
ped on him and then, rising nearly into
my face, got tangled In a clump of
lronwied and fell at my feet Had I
been so disposed I could have ear.ght
him In my hands, but my desire wss to

badly frightened woodcock, aa he dart-

The highest speed Rotary Washing Maohine on the market. High speed is one of the
essential features of a rotary washer. It creates a soapsuds or foim without having to
turn the fly wheel so fast that the speed rather than the work tires out the operator.
The speed of the White Lily is 2 3-8 turn of the fly wheel to one turn and return of the
dasher—it creates more soapsuds with less exertion than any other rotary maohine oh
the market. ^
You oan't wash olothes clean without s<3ap and the more foam you get from the soap
the oleaner your clothes will be. The high speed of the White Lily creates more soap-
suds or foam and will thus wash the olothes cleaner and in one-half the time it takes
with any other. It is the easiest running washer on the market! The gear is so simple
and it does away with the slide and friction.
