Cad Aixarii is booming single state-
hood in his Chickasha New Star. In a
recent issue, he says: All the talking
and writing that is done in the f north-
western part of Oklahoma to the effect
that citizens are opposed to immediate
statehood with Indian Territory, and
they would tast a majority against such
action, is but the pipe dream of a [coterie
of scribes and politicians of a small sec-
tion of the vast territory which £they
would have it understood they represent.
Oklahoma City, Guthrie, Shawnee, El-
Reno, Hobart, Lawton, Norman. Pawnee
and, tn fact, every large and important
center of population in Oklahoma except
Enid would vote almost solidly for single
statehood if permitted to express them-
selves at the polls, and Enid, the crater
from which flows the eruption, would
cast a majority for single statehood. Tbe
fact is there is not in all Oklahoma a
sentiment for double statehood that will,
if collected within a given radius, stand
before the whirlwind of single statehood
sentiment that will overtake it, longer
than would a sheet of tissue paper before
a cyclone. The Enid eruption if bnt
top notch add crowded houses are already
assured. Tbe number of promiuent bu->i-
