OR the satisfactory and economical outfitting of men we offer certain induce-
ments which never fail to be appreciated by those who understand them.
One of these inducements is originality in style, fabric
and every other essential of a gentleman's attire—Not the
Originality that trespasses in the slightest upon Good Taste
or Correct Style, but that which rather illustrates and em-
phasizes both.
There was a time when the chief distinction to ready-to-wear clothing was
its economy--No man who was indifferent to cost would have been induced to
stray from the influence of the custom tailor—tis different now and we have no
hesitancy in addressing ourselves to men who want the best—irrespective of
price--for we have suits in Better Style than nine out of ten custom tailors can
conceive the equal in workmanship—the peer in fit--the third to a half in price.
That the coat of this clothing is so much less than the best custom tailor's is only an incident,
created through the talent and energy of the 30( 0 skilled tailors concentrated in the shops of

MELONS OF
OKLAHOMA
The Greer county, Oklahoma,'^Melon
Growers association at a meeting held
recently pledged themselves as to the
number of acres each member would
plant in melons for the coming season.
Fourteen members agreed they would
plant an aggregate of seventy acres.
This is one of the belt seasons in the
southwest for the growing of all kinds of
melons, the product equaling in all re-
spects, if not exceeding, the famous
Rocky Ford melons.
Melon growers associations are being
formed at other places in both Oklahoma
and Indian Territory and the Jprospects
are that a lirge crop of the delicious
fruit will be raised this year.
There is more Catarrh in this section
of the country than all other diseases put
together, an^ until the last few yeais
was supposed to be incurable. For a
great many years doctors pronounced it
a local disease and prescribed local rem-
edies, and by constau ly failing to cure
with local treatment, pronounced it in-
curable. Science has proven catarrh to
be a constitutional treatment. Hall's

QUAINTEST IN THE WORLD
(Jrand Canyon is Famed
for this Unique Settle-
ment and Its People
A short distance from El Toyar, the
Santa Fe's new hotel at Grand Canyon,
is, the Iiopi house. Not a competing
hotel, but a stone and adobe structure,
for all the world like an Indian pueblo;
and so it is, in miniature. If you ever
attended the snake dance at Oraibi you
may have seen 011 a side street the origi-
nal of this picturesque building.
Those quaintly garbed Indians 011. the
housetop hail from Wolpi; perhaps you
are so fortunate as to see Nampeyo, the
most noted potterymakeis in all Hop;-
land.
Here are Iiopi men, women and chil-
dren, busy with their odd handicrafts.
This-gentle folk live in rooms little and
low, as befils their smaU-iiatured occu-
pants. They are. making "piki" • (In-
dian bread), or twining the raven hack
hair of .the girls in big side whorls, .or ',
building sacrbd. altars, 01 me.ildfng. lnoc-
'.capitis—doing a '.hundred un-American
things.' .* - t'i ' "
•It i^ about as good as a [rip--to the.
province of. Tusayan, the.land of the
snake dance, and much itiore comfort- '
able, for there is.no desert to cross.. .
fn afljacent ' hogans" are tall, taci-
turn Navajos, smooth faced and keen-
eyed Bedouins. Elle, of C.anado, the
most famous blanket weaver of the Nav-
ajos, now makes her headquarters at the
Grand Canyon.
A baud ol Supais, wondered from their
Cataract Canyon home, will offer you a
basket, or entreat you to look at one of
their babies blinking in the wooden
cradle on its mother's back.
These three tribes belong to the Grand
Canyon region and are a great attraction
for Canyon visitors
