0810 TRIPOLI
Paris, France, Oct. 12.—Communi-
cation with Tripoli having been re-
established, details of the situation
there are pouring in. It is said Mun-
hlr Pasha, commander of the Turk-
ish garrison, trusted until the la*t
moment he would receive reinforce-
ments.
Even now Munhlr says Constanti-
nople must have some plan to come
to his aid. Meanwhile he is gather-
ing his forces in the Ghurian hills,
to which he retired.
In this position are all the avail-
able Turkish soldiers and armed
Arabs from the Jebel regions. Mun-
hir has at his disposal provisions
for bix weeks.
It seems to be Ihe intention of the
Turkish rommander lo resist the
Itallans as long as possible, but if
he Is not reinforced, to gradually re-
tire, following the Ghurian range
which will provide him with suffi-
cient water niitil he reacbeB the fron-
tier of Tunis, which his forces will
cross rather lhan fall Into Ihe hands

Mrs. Kilpatrick was caught under-

she died in 30 minutes after the ac-

Among the more seriously injured

the glass windows. The car contin-

Attend Night School, W. B. College
Lawrence, Kan., Oct. 12.—The Uni-
versity of Kansas sat up and took
notice this morning when a pretty
sorority girl appeared on the feampus
wearing a harem skirt. It was a
real one, too, made of a gray and
white woolen mixture. She was first
spied by law students who were
lounging on the steps of Green Hall.
The skirt looked like a riding skirt
and most of the boys, who were not
versed in Parisian styles, thought
that it was one. The girls, however,
knew better and they were duly
shocked. The other sorority girls on
the hill were completely bewildered
at the audacity of their sister of the
Greek letter society and stood aghast
as the girl with the harem skirt
made her way over the campus.
