STRENGTH
la the dally conduct of the business
of this bank we have had constantly
before us the aim of STRENGTH,
rather than SIZE.
The thing uppermost in our minds
each day was to see how GOOD,
rather than HOW 1310.
Realizing that a STEADY, healthy
growth was a safer foundation on
which to build a clean and etrong
bank we have endeavored at all times
to offer to the public a most co iser-
vatiVe bank; such as would insure
their savings being absolutely safe
and thereby cause them to become
depositors.
OUR GROWTH
That our growth has been gradual
and steady Is shown by the compari-
son below:

BIBLE INSTITUTE.
Paul discovered that the law was
holy, and the commandment holy,
Just and good; but the law of right
conduct made no provision for the
forgiving of sIiib. Repentance toward
God and faith In our Lord Jesus
Christ are necessary to the needed
forgiveness.
A vldld picture of a wrong heart,
and the awful anguish of soul in a
desperate struggle to get right with
God is presented in the lesson for
tonight—Romans 7:14-25.
In our salvation God has a part,
as follows: God speaks, couvlctB,
pardons, regenerates, sanctifies; aud
man should hear, repent, believe,
obey, witness.
A question: How far has the co-
operative work progressed, and what
is our present relation to God, anil
to His Son?

GOVERNMENT SUPERVISION MEANS
SAFE RANKING
It is the purpose of the Government to make the word "NATIONAL"
In connection with a bank synonymous with "SAFETY."
Federal examinations are rigid. Reports to the Comptroller of the
Ci^rrency are read critically, and any criticisms from the Comptroller must
be answered by letter signed by all the members of the Board of Directors.

A "feature," or department, of a newspaper wins Its read-
ers a few at time.
Out of thousands who "scan" and "glance at" a store's
advertising in this Issue, a few hundred will read ALL OF
THAT STORE'S ADVEPT1SEMENT In the next Issue. But
if that s ore's advertisement does not APPEAR IN THE NEXT
ISSUE, this process of 11nning regular readers Is broken up.
It would be so with our Editorial Page. If It did not ap-
pear REGULARLY, it would forfeit the interest and atten-
tion of MOST OF ITS HEADERS. And the same would be
true of our Local Page, of our Society Page, and of the other
features of the paper, which build up their circles of readers
surely and steadily, Issue by issue.
A store's advertising gets to be MOST EFFECTIVE after
It has become a REGULAR FEATURE of the paper, gaining
