Sir. Shutter acnounces for a second
term for this otlice, and authorizing
the statement tiiat he will continue
to rua the oltieeo n strictly business I
lines and make the office pay as he I
has the past term. That he will I
also require the clerk to do the j
stenographer's work, thus saving i
the expense of a stenographer.
It will be remembered that this
office has for many years, prio r to
the election of Judge Sbutler, been
a large expense to the county, never
turning in enough to pay the expense
ol the office. The above figures
show that under the present admin
istration the office has more than
paid all expenses and lias become a
source ol revenue- for the taxpayers.
Mr. Sbutler has applied strict busi
liess methods to the oft ice with the
above results, and we believe this
record merits the voles of the citi.
/.ens of this county for a 2nd term.
Mr. Shutler favors the extension
of the jurisdiction ol the county, as
rdvocated by Judge Robertson, can.
didate lor Governor, and thus giv.
iug the county court all cases arising
in the county and abolishing the
district court. lie believes tins
would result iu more speedy digpo
sition of litigation, with a great
saving to the taxpayers ol' the
county.
