Officials of the Oklahoma Heart
company report a good strike on tholr
lease west of Cardln. Several holes
have been drilled and all had a good
'showing of Jack and Home lead the
officials say. The lat hole was the
best drilled as two veins of ore were
found. The first was struck nt a 175-
foot level and a much better grade
wa.s found lit 2 4 It feet. This assayed
IS. 40. according to the officials and
had a good showing of lead. While

drillers struck a cave and lost their
string of tools. Kvery effort was made
to recover them and tho last day the
"fishers ' worked 31 sticks of dynamite

fort to dislocate tho tools.
The Todd Mining company la sink-
ing one of its ft vo shafts to the second
nib of ore that in supposed to be
beneath Its ten-aero lease at Ijincoln-
villo. The Todd people have never
drilled out their holdings as the top
run wa.s l licit to bo good enough but
after the Nemo found tho second run
on one side and the Alabama Coon on
another whllo the Itlg Jaec him been
operating on still another it was thot
best to drill on the Todd so the shaft

seventy feet deep was continued be-
ing now at a depth of 95 feet. It is
thot that the second run will bo struck
at a depth of about 110 feet.
The Ardmore-Miaml Mining- com-
pany recently incorporated with a cap-
ital of $ 1 SO IPX) has secured u lease in
section 2'i between (Juapaw and
I'd her and is planning to build a 250-
ton mill. The lease adjoins the Buf-
falo and Italnbow Mining companies'
property. H. U. f'lggs Ardmoro. Is
president and f. E. I'acey secretary
and treasurer. C. 10. Tuylor of Okla-
homa City and A. YV. BurgeH of Han
Antonio Texas are also Interested in
the company.
