the plan and Captain Pat J. Hurley
announced that the idea of Tulsa

had for the time bcim; been aban-

Captain Hurley was for a parade .Sat-
urday afternoon thru the business sec-
tion of the city led by a band and
file and drum corps. After ariaii ie-
niftits for the Saturday parade had
been perfected Captain Hurley was
culled to MuskoKee. and duriiiK his
absence others interested in the patri-
otic demonstration changed the plana
and announced a city-wide affair for
Sunday afternoon.
As soon as the announcement was
made that the parade would be staKed
this afternoon. Instead of yesterday
ns Captain Hurley had planned those
interested in a rellKious service beini;
conducted in the city sought to have
the parade postponed and the lead-
ers were asked to make this conces-
sion In favor of meetings which al-
ready had been arrnnnod for.
I'pon his return to the city Cap-
tain Hurley found that there was
opposition to the revised prntrram. and
that arrangements hml not been taken
to secure the co-operation of the
school children and other civic bod-
ies. It became necessary under the
strontr pressure brought to bear and
the lack of detailed arrangement to
postpone the purado Indefinitely.
