Instead of joints and bootleggers, the
town is also cleaned i;p in a moral way,
too. Instead of the low element that some-
times dominate and hinder Progress, we
have a law abiding people ready to say a
good word for our town.
Now, as the ticket :s nominated, whe-
ther it be booster or knocker, nothing re-
mains for us to do but to make it unani-
mous.
We cannot believe that any right think-
ing man, or set of men will deliberately
plunge our city in <i ' t. thereby raising the
taxes, to an enormous pitch; his town, the
place he calls i ae the city he takes so
much pride in, without a reasonable assur-
ance that it will also raise the value and re-
turn to each property holdtr i hundred fold
in the wa\ of increa.-ed population and ad-
dition of new enterprises.
Let's now bury the hatchet, handle and
all, and take off ou'r iats and roll up our
sleeves and go to work for Progress and
everything that the word implies.
