September 6th, 1910.
The Board of County Com-
missioners met in regular ses-
sion in the office of the County
Clerk at one o'clock p. m.
Tuesday, September 6, 1910.
Present: W. S. Hickman, J.
S. Terry and John J. Thomas
County Commissioners, and
A. B. Green, Deputy County
Clerk.
John J. Thomas, Chairman,
presiding.
A. B. Green, Deputy County
Clerk, acting as clerk of the
meeting.
The meeting being opened
according to law, the follow-
ing proceedings were had and
done, to-wit:
Now comes on tor consider-
ation by the Board the matter
of opening bids for the erec-
tion and construction of a
separate school building in
School District No. 30, as per
plans and specifications on file
in the office of the County
Clerk, and npon the opening
of such bids, it is found thai
the following persons have
submitted bids as follows:
J. L. Waltrip: #691.67
Alvin Travis: $760 84
Brown & Shearer: $655,00
Bobo & Fraley: 700.00
Thereupon it is ordered b>
the Board that the contract
for the erection of said build-
ing be, and the same is herebv
awarded to Brown & Shearer,
upon their bid of $655.00. It
is further ordered by the
Board that the Chairman and
County Clerk enter into a
contract with the said Brown
& Shearer for the faithful per-
formance of their duties; and
that the said Brown & Shearer
make bond to the Board of
County Commissioners in a
sum equal to twice the amount
of the contract price.
It is ordered by the Board
that the resignation of Edgar
Key as County Road Warden
be, and the same is hereby
accepted; and J. G. Williams
is hereby appointed to fill the
vacancy, said appointment to
become effective from and
after August 1, 1910.
It is ordered by the Board
that Geo. B. Noble, sheriff,
be and he is hereby authorized
to appoint Sam R. Wilson,
deputy sheriff.
It is ordered by the Board
that the following section lines
sections 19 and 20; thence
east three miles between sec-
tions 20 and 29, 21 and 28,
22 and 27; thence south one
mile between sections 26 and
27; thence east one mile be
tween sections 26 and 35;
thence south one mile between
sections 35 and 36; also one
mile between sections 22 and
23; also two miles south be-
tween sections 29 and 28, 32
and 33; All in Township 3
North. Range 22 East.
It is ordered by the Board
that the sum of $5.00 per
month be allowed to Hartin
Thomas for the support and
sustainance of Steve Literal,
a pauper, beginning Septem-
ber 1, 1910.
It is ordered by the Board
of County Commissioners, in
pursuance of a petition there-
for, that all that part of the
public road running south and
west across section 29, Town-
ship 5 North, Range 25 East,
and known as the Dan Coy
road, be, and the same is
hereby discontinued; and that
said road be and the same is
hereby altered and changed
as follows, to-wit: Beginning
at the northeast corner of sec-
tion 29, Township 5 North,
Range 25 East, and running
west on section line one mile;
thence south on section line
one-half mile, intersecting the
original road survey at such
point.
It is ordered by the Board,
in pursuance of a petition
therefor, <hat the following
public road be, and the same
is hereby established, to-wit:
Beginning at the southeast
corner of section 14, Town-
ship 10 North, Range 24
East; thence east on section
line between sections 13 and
24 to the bank of the Collins
Lake; thence along the south
bank of the said Collins Lake
to section corner on Township
line, between Township 10
North, Range 24 East, and
Township 10 North, Range
25 East; thence south on
Township line one-halt mile;
thence east on half mile line
three-fourths of a mile; thence
south three-fourths of a mile;
thence east one-fourth of a
mile to section line establish-
ed by the Board in a former
order. It is further ordered
that the public road establish-
ed by the Board be, and the
same is hereby discontinued
from the intersection of the
above described road north of
the river.
It is ordered by the Board that
be, and they hereby are estab-
lished and declared to be pub- j election proclamation calling a spec-
lic highways: Beginning at ial election in Stock District No. 13,

Stock Districts, according to law;
Whereas, Stock District No. 13
comprises that portion of said Coun-
ty set forth and described as follows,
towit; All of Township 4 North,
Range 24 East, and all of Township 4
North, Range 25 East, in said Le-
Flore County; And
Whereas, there has been present-
ed to the Board of County Commiss-
ioners of LeFlore County, Oklahoma,
a petition, in writing, signed by more
than one fourth of the legal voters,
residents of such Stock District No.
13, asking that there be submitted to
the legal voters of such Stock DiS'
trict the following questions of po-
lice regulation, towit;
First: Shall all domestic animals
other than swine, sheep and goats be
permitted to run at large?
Second: Shall all domestic animals
including swine, sheep and goats be
permitted tn run at large?
Now, Therefore, It is ordered by
the Board of County Commissioners
of LeFlore County, State of Oklaho-
ma, that aspscia! election be, and the
same is hereby proclaimed and called
to be held in said Stock District No.
13 on Saturday, October 8th, 1910,
for the purpose of submitting to the
legal voters of such Distract the fol-
lowing questions of police regulation,
to-wit:
Shall all domestic animals other
than swine, sheep and goats be per-
mitted to run at large in Stock Dis-
District No. 13?
Shall all domestic animals including
swine, shoep and goats be permitted
to run at large in Stock District No.
13?
It is further ordered that the poll-
ing place for such election shall be
at the residence of Newt Naylor, in
section 5 Township 4 North, Range
25 East; and the following three
persons, legal voters and residents of
such Stock District, are hereby ap-
pointed as judges of such election,
to-wit: S. C. Carshall, R. B. Pitts
and J. E. Walker.
It is further ordered that this pro-
clamation be published for three con-
secutive weeks in a newspaper pub-
lished and of general circulation in
said LeFlore county, and that copies
thereof be posted in five most public
places in said Stock District No. 13.

to be given to the National Bank of
Poteau, Bank of Cameron, Cameron,
Oklahoma, First State Bank, Wister,
Oklanoma, and LeFlore County Bank,
Poteau, Oklahoma, all cash on hand
belonging to said Co. of LeFlore,as a
deposit, or carry same in said banks
named, I will take all County war-
rants at par, when presented.
And I will take what warrants I
feel like taking and paying therefor
par and accrued interest from the
present depositories; but do not say |
