TRY A CONSTITUTION
WANT AD
The hunter with an unloaded gun never bags any
game. And as it is with the hunter and his gun, so it is
with the merchant and newspaper advertising.
The merchant who goes to the people with an ad-
vertisement loaded with gripping facts gets the busi-
ness. He appeals to them because he is progressive
enough to tell them what they want to know about the
goods they want to buy.
Any person who is in the market for a certain arti-
cle is interested in knowing something about that article
before they part with their money. They want to know
what store or stores have it before they go out hunting
for it. And they read the advertisements in order to get
that information.
The people of this community are already buying
their spring goods, and they will spend a large amount
of money before the opening of summer.
Your advertisement in this paper will do the work
of the load in the hunter's gun—IT WILL BAG THE
GAME. We are going to call on you and talk it over.
In the meantime we ask you to think it over.
Thinking leads to talking; talking produces adver-
tising; advertising gets results.
The Constitution is the paper that is read by the
people.
