DEATH OF MRS. LACY.
Mrs. Harriett Lacy died at the
hospital Sunday at 1 p. m. and the
funeral Was held this afternoon at
3 o'clock, interment occurring at
Fairview cemetery. Rev. S. H. Bab-
cock of the Methodist Episcopal
Church, South, conducted the ser-
vices. Mrs. Lacy, who was 74 years
of age at the time of her death, was
one of the four old ladies at the
hospital this fall and winter who
have suffered from fractured hips.

The brick tower over the press
room at the oil mill fell ThurSday
and several women had a narrow
escape. The mill was closed down
while the debris was being cleared
away. Aside from the loss of the
tower walls, little damage was done

the north for some of his leading
productions including "Quo Vadis.'
Six months ago he was attracted
to the Universale special feature de-
partment and is now playing the
part of advance man and press
agent for "Neptune's Daughter" in
the southwestern states. In a short
chat Mr. Miller said he has always
held Shawnee in high esteem, hav-
ing spent one day here several years
ago while advancing "The Rogers
Bros, in Ireland" company, he states,
