botham, a Hastings. Nebraska, capitalist
has bought the big Bland hotel from the
United States. Bid, for the purchase of
the Bland were opened In the office of
interior at Washing-

A committee of three consisting of Mr.
Milne, E. H Knaues. and M Collar was
appointed to confer with the O. A. R. and
Spanish-American War Veteran*, and as-
sist thetn in making preparations for the
state encampment which is to be h°ld
here in May. .
The matter of home industry was
brought up again and thoroughly dlscuHs-
ed. and there was very much enthusiasm
along this line. And it was the sense of
the meeting that the Retailers'ta,socia-
tinn encourage the , patronage of home
manfaetured articles as much aslposslble.
The Retailers are in earnest about this
matter and Intend to keep reminding peo-
ple of Guthrie of this fact, until avery
