IN LUTHER.
We visited this busy little town
and we had hardly left the train be-
fore we were surrounded by our many
friends, both white and colored. We
found a hearty welcome and old time
hand-shake. It seemed us if everyone
wanted to subscribe for the Western
World. We were kept busy writing.
The Key Bros, are doing a large
mercantile business. We were en-
tertained by Prof, and Mrs. Ful-

IN WEATHERFORD.
Our visit to this town was on a
Social occasion. We had the pleas-
ure of being entertained by the
scholarly and charming Miss Fannie
Barbee. We were on the ocean of
dreamlund and our train came near
leaving us. Mr. and Mrs. Ijiwsou
also made it pleasant for us. Kev.
White, the great friend of the Great
Western World, handed in some sub-
scribers. We left Weatherford with
a sad heurt.
IN INDIAN TERRITORY.
Our first stop was at Sapulpa, and
our kind friend, Rev. Brown, met us
at the depot. We were escorted over
the town: white and colored gave
us a royal reception. We found gen-
erous white people and some fine col-
ored people. The Western World
took like fire, and nearly every busi-
ness man, white and colored, sub-
scribed. The whites treated us fine
as the colored. Sapulpa is a busi-
ness town and we intend to write
moro on this enterprising town.
IN BEGGS, I. T.
In company with Rev. Brown we
visited Beggs. This is a new town
ami has some rood people of white
and colored. The business men are
making their town wide awake. Large
stores and banks are doing good busi-
ness. We found the James boys do-
ing a fiue grocery business, also a
colored man running a bakery. The
white and colored people tried to
outdo Sapulpa in subscribing for
the Western World, Ihey gave us
a royal reception. Wo were eom-
jH-lled to return back to Oklahoma
City.
A BRILLIANT AFFAIR.
On account of rebuilding of Cal-
vary Baptist cluireh, the Easter pro-
gram was pulled off lust Sunday
night. It was the grandest Easter
exercise ever witnessed in this city.
There was not standing room for the
people. This showed their apprecia-
tion for the children. The songs,
speeches und ecsays were nil that was
expected.
The speeches by Misses Malone.
Penhiston, Densou. Walton, Mun-
snings, Ware and others. Then. Ware
made n tine opening address. Little
Earl Lawrence brought the house
down with bis solo. The Lacy broth-
ers spoke well. The Manning Sisters
duet was the best on the program.
! They were fine. Too much praise
'can not be given to Miss Carrie
Walton, Miss Mar.v Carr and Miss
Muinie Morton for the naitis mid
excellent work iu training the chil-
dren.
