Every physician of large practice has had the experience of being called on to
attend women who imagined that they were in the last stages of some dire female
malady, when upon examination th3 fact was revealed that obstructed physiology of
tho stomach or bowels was the whole cause of the trouble.
The physician, however, who has not had t xperience may fall into the error of
diagnosing grave diseases of the female system when they do not exist, because
disorders of the bowels may be neglected until they give many of the appearances of
female disease. The bowels have teen known to become so clogged with hardened
contents as to produce a condition closely resembling uterine displacement, uterine
prolapse (falling of the womb) and the sick headache which is often attributed to
female diseases is most often actually due to seme trouble in the digestive machinery
involving the liver, stomach, bowels or the great "Solar Plexus," which is the central
telegraph s tation from which nervous mc-id^s are transmitted to and from all the
organs in the abdominal cavity.

A representative of tho stai • Capital
this morning In company with a rail-

and wholesale establishments of the
city and Interviewed the proprietors on
their business for the year. There was
not a single man in the entire number
but that stated that for the year that
would end the 1st of Jan., 1902, that
they had increased from fifty per cent
to one and two hundred per cent over
the last year, and they expect that
the coming year will see s great an
increase from the completion of the Ok-

Most of the wholesalers had but
burden of complaint and that was that
their business had increased so rapidly
that the railway lines in the city were
unable seemingly to keep pace with tIn-
growth of tho commerce here and to
ment to handle th- goods that were un-
