recess till the 20th, on account of the
coming meeting of the supremo court. On
Thursday Judge McAtee suspended C un.
ty Attorney liubbell, on the grounds, as
stated, that he was not giving the grand
jury the benefit of his counsel and advice.
The judge appointed Charles II. Parker
. jiccial counsel fur the county, to con-
duct the investigation. Before tho special
grand jury took their recess today they
handed In three indictments as follows:
