LAWRENCE STRIKERS
ARE STILL HOLDING OUT.
Lawrence, Mass., March 5.—Strik-
ers in the textile industry in this
city prepared last night to increase
their force of pickets in an endeavor
to persuade their fellows not to re-
turn to work today.
The force at work yesterday, it is
stated, did not exceed the number
working last week, aside from the
1,00 0 members of the Central Labor
union, who have returned under the
promise of an increase in wages.
TEDDY ROOSEVELT
WILL EAT 'EM ALIVE.
Oklahoma City, March 5.—Returns
from precinct conventions received
last night show that 237 delegates to
the Oklahoma Republican state con-
vention are instructed for Roosevelt
and 113 instructed for Taft. The
first reports were that 127 delegates
had been instructed for Taft. This
was found to be an error in tele-
graphic communication.
It appears that George A. Priest-
ley of Bartlesville, a Roosevelt sup-
porter, is certain of election as na-
tional committeeman.
