various oil fields in the eastern part

fall at Willows, California, on Novem-

that a pretty little postofflce war is
being waged at Hobart, Okla., and
there is no immediate prospects of it
being settled soon. John Appleby
seeks to succeed Postmaster Charles
Gillette and has the backing of Rep-
resentative McGuire and State Chair-
man Harris, but National Committee-
man Cash Cade desires that Gillette
remain in office. As both sides are
determined there is prospect that the
next appointment will be delayed for
some time.
Charles Glllett is a son of Judge
F. E. Gillett of this city and is well
known to many El Reno people.
