THF I'lilCi: COMFS Dow \.
Oklahoma City. Sept. 28 It is
now estimated by prominent cotton
buyers of Oklahoma City that th<
total yield for the state will be in
the neighborhood of a million bales.
A few weeks ago it was predicted
that the crop would not exceed eight
hundred thousand bales, but favor-
able weather has hud a wonderful
effect on the growing fields, and as a
lesult the farmers of Oklahoma will
pocket the nice little sum of about
$50,000,000 in cold cash during the
next ninety days.
Cotton was down to 10 1-2 cents
yesterday, the lowest in three years.

ORAM* OPERA |\ ENGLISH.
Fa eh member of the LeBrun opera
company ran sing iti three languages
Italian, German, and English. They
emphasize, however, the giving of
operas in this country in English.
Madame LeBrun was the original
sponsor on the Pacific coast in behalf
of having operas sung in English,
and one of the first to rase her voice
in its behalf in the entire country
During nearly a year that this com-
pany was on the Pacific coast, she
gave lectures on this subject in the
afternoons before the women's clubs,
rhe entire LeBrun company makes a
specialty of enunciation.
This is the production the elks
