The nigger republicans
of
Chickasha held a muss meeting
the other day and adopted a
platform. After reaffirming al-
lepance to the republican party,
ss "the party of the colored
roan," the platform goes on to
say: "VVe condemn the Jiui
Ciow car law in its fulle-i en«e,
and we will not support any can-
didate who favor* the ,iiin Crow
car law and class legislation."
There you have it. Mr. White
Republican. You can't electa
single member to the constituti-
onal convention or legislature in
■Oklahoma without the aid of
your black political brother.
And what is the price? You are
not only to rub elbows and affili-
ate with him in your republican
sonventions, but you are to
pledge yourself and party that
the tiltliy, foul-smelling nigger
shall ride in the same railroad
ca." with your wivea and daugh-
ters, in the same seat if neoess-
ury, and you are to see to it that
if your wife or daughter is forced
to wait in a railioad depot, a
gang of worthless nigger loafers
shall be permitted to lounge about
and occupy the same room.
You won't stand for it? Why
of course you will. What did
you do over in the Seminole Na-
tion a few days ago? The nig-
gers outnumbered you three to
one, at your republican conven-
tion, and tilled all the commit-
tees with niggers, and every re-
publican precinct committeeman
in that nation is a nigger.
Then what did you do up ia
Logan county, when you repub-
licans met to nominate a candi-
date for delegate to the constitu-
tional convention? A nigger'
candidate lead the race up to the
seventy-ninth ballot. Don't
squirm and try to wiggle out of
it, for e/ery one of you who go
Jo the first state republican con.
irention will be sandwiched in be-
tween nigger delegates, and you
will elect a nigger as assistant
secretary of that convention.
Of course the nigger is a bitter
pill for some white republicans
lo swallow, but the most of you
julp him down like he was sugar- 01 Ja> ~"'el man' a UPU""
coated, otherwise you would
per cent are native Americans.
Among the best of them are, of
course, the 150,000 native Miss-
ourians who have moved over
into that land of promise.
These people h-vp, within the
boundary of * anting state,
more than 70,000square miles ot
as good country a* there is in
America. Though much of it is
withheld from tillage for the .pre-
sent by Indian ■•nure, it yields
100 i'00,000 bushels of corn, more
Man 30,000,000 bushe.s of wheat
and between 700,000 and 800,000
bales of cotton every year.
Without building any grea>
cities, the new state will easily
support a population twice as
great a- it already ha-. Though
old Oklahoma produces bounti-
fully the good things of the earth,
the portion of the new state
known as Indian Territory is bet-
ter watered and better timbered.
Its soil is more fertile, its de-
posits of coal abundant, and its
supplies of oil and gas seemingly
more plentiful even than those
of southeastern Kansas.
Statehood will rapidly bring all
the resources of Greater Okla-
homa under development, and
when the eastern portion is as
well settled astlie western, the
state ef Oklahoma will take rank
close beside Indiana in wealth
and population.
The good citizenship of Greater
Oklahoma is so thoroughly
American that it could not well
be otherwise than democratic,
in the main. The enterprising
pioneers who have gone thither
are just the kind of people who
naturally believe in the Jeffer.
sonian principle of the. fair
chance, the equal show and the
square deal. These they are ever
ready to concede to others, and
they will not put up with any-
thing less for themselves. Okla-
homa is all right.—St. Louis He-
public.
'•WHERh THE M0N 10MES FROM "
The Kansas City Times says:
"Republicans estimate that the
democratic campaign committee
at Oklahoma City is spending
$1,000 a month and are curious
to know the location of the bar-
rel. In campaign speeches re-
publicans have charged that cor-
I porations are helping the demo-
can leader in Cleveland county,
at the republican committee
meeting at Oklahoma City, told
how he believed the democrats
raising their campaign
funds. "Democratic candidates
jhake the nigger and get over
into the democratic party, the
white man's party. How many
«f you white republicans would UI U
like to be auditor of Oklahoma?
Every mother's son of you. Yet
the only time in the history of |0klahoma an<l lndian Territory
Oklahoma that a white man filled thicker tl,an chinch bug8'" ea,d
that office was during President Shermun' "and th° n"mber °f
gloriously republican stronghold,
while about seventy per cent of
the population of Cuba is made
up of niggers and will also be a
republican acquisition. Both of
those islands will be annexed to
the United States, for two rea-
sons. First, with tliei' vast nig-
ger population they will be
safely republican. Second,
American bondholders purchased
millions of dollars worth of bonds
issued by those islands, paying
for them as low as fifteen cents
on the dollar, and when the
United States annexes those is- j
lands we assume their indebted-
ness, ami that makes those bonds
worth their face value. The
kindness and generosity of the
republican administration to-
wards the bond sharks i- of a
most touching character -and the
bond sharks will no doubt come
down handsomely when touched
by the republican campaign com-
mittee.
The labor vote in Colorado is
a power and it has made it- pow-
er felt. When the regular re-
publican candidate for governor
of Colorado withdrew from the
race, the other day, the state
committee substituted therefor
the chancelor of the state univer-
sity. Immediately the labor vote
of Colorado declared against
him, on the grounds that he was
identified with the Methodist
Book concern of New York and|
Cincinnati, with which organized
labor has been combatting for
more than a year for an eight
hour day but could not secare it.
Thif meant absolute and sure
defeu* for the republican candi-
date for governor of Colorado.
Strange to relate, the Methodist
Book concern agreed Tuesday to
the eight hour system, and it
goes into effect on November 1st.
wheieby one thousand printers
and others are to be benefitted.
This may save the republican
candidate for governor of Colo-
rado, but the credit is due to the
labor organizations that were
after his scalp.

Don't be too hard on the repub-

that all of Noah's neighbors were
