Captured Thieves.
■J. Dukes, who lost twenty miuk hides
by thieves, Monday, succeeded in round
ing up the supposed guilty parties Tues-
day. Marion Raudali and Louis Stelts
were overhauled six miles west of town
and taken to Okmulgee where they were
given a pre'iniinery hearing and bound
over to await the acti.il of the grand
jury. The hides, which are worth three
or four dollars apiece were not recovered.

Territory friends a few bottles of (hoc-
taw beer for a Christmas present. After
several attempts to drink the stuff him-
self be gave it Up as an impossible job,
and not knowing what else to do with it,
he enipied it into the swill pail and after
wards fed it to the pigs and had almost
forgotten the incident. A morning or
two ago, however, \\ hen he started out
to look after his stock, he was almost
frightened out of his wits by thediideous
and awful uoises coming from the vicinity

porkers engaged in an Indian war dance
and they were letting out an occasional
warwhoop that would have done credit
