A sharp explosion of a kerosene lamp
was heard in the kitchen in the rear of
the second story by S. F. Butler, a son
of the proprietor, and immediately the
flames began to spread through the
dry inner timber of the corrugated iron
building, which is one of a block of
two-story structures owned by J. M.
Coleman on the east side of West street.
Butler raised a cry of

Bank of Commerce, charged with re-
ceiving deposits when he knew the
bank was insolvent, on trial at For-

in a verdict of not guilty. He was to
have been tried at once on another in-
dictment, but the prosecuting attorney

Hugh Corrigan, who was killed here
