Commencement Exercises of Univers-
ity Began Saturday.
Norman, Okla., June 4.—The formal
exercises of commencement week be-
gan here Saturday evening, May 30,
with the address of the Senate Debat-
ing club, in the university chapel.
Judge Irwin, of El Rent, was to ad-
dress the society, bud unexpected busi-
ness prevented, and the day before
he entertainment, Hon. Henry E. Asp
jf Guthrie, agreed to talk to the club
in his stead. The evening was stormy

speaker and enjoyed his practical I'alk.
This is the second time this club has

ment week and their policy of having
some prominent citizen of our own ter-

Lon Muxlow on East Vilas avenue,
was entered by two boys, and two guns
prized highly by the owner were stol-
en and sold to a Capitol Hill resident.
When Mr. Muxlow returned from
court he discovered the loss and be-
gan a Sherlock Holmes' search. The
guns were found and only the kind
heartedness of Mr. Muxlow saved the
boys from a term in the penitentiary.
He refuses to prosecute them, inas-
much as the property was fount.
