COMES TODAY.

The first announcement in the race
for county attorney to succeed J. A.
Fain, who is not a candidate for re-
election, comes today from A. J. Bur-
ton of this city. He will present his
name before the democratic voters in
the primary in August.
Mr. Burton if a native of Indiana,
a life-long democrat and a practicing
attorney at the Lawton bar since the
opening of the Kiowa-Comanche
country. He has never made the race
for office In Comanche county but,
during the first term of Mr. Fain,
served as assistant in the office of
county attorney.
