County Sunday School Comeutioa
The Cleveland County Sun-
day School Convention was
held in Nole last Tuesday and
Wednesday. A large crowd
was here both clays and much
interest was manifested which
gave life to the meeting.
Delegates from the various
•.Sunday Schoolsof the county
were present and much good
was done alQiig this line.
Some very instructive and
beneficial lessons were learn-
ed during this convention and
especially did the audience
enjoy the lecture by the coun-
ty Superintendent of the pri-
mary department of Norman.
Dr Hashall of Springfield
was with the convention on
the last day and his appear-
ance was greatly enjoyed as
well as eloquent address. Rev
Alexander of Norman and
many others worthy of special
note, helped to make the occa-
sion a grand Success.
The Independent Sunday
School favored the convention
with some of their select
music which recieved much
favorable comment. William
Rodgers field secretary, was
present through out the con-
vention anclgave several in-
teresting talk on Sunday
School work.

A Clean To,mi.
A clean town is no little
thing to be desired in the
maintaining and the building
of a town. Filth is not only
offensive to health, but a pain
to the vision as well. If a
town is at a stand still unsan-
itary conditions will pull it
backward, and if it is growing
nothing tends so much to
mire the wheels of progress.
The sanitary conditions of
a town depend largely upon
the scavenger and health
ofticer, and on this score Noble
has no right to complain,
otherwise she has a cause to
be proud. A health officer
and city physician, is baddly
needed, men who take great
interest in the town and
watches carefully after the
town along their official line.
We shpuld now prepare towork
the town thoroughly to have
it cleaned up and make ic as
conducive to health as possible
With the people working in
unison with these two men we
promise to have the cleanest
town any where.

Noble last Monday morning,
bearing the cmomniercial club

making a trip over the two
Territories,
Representatives from the
various wholesale, firms of
Oklahoma City ww among
the party and made short
visits on their customers re-
spectively.
A Pound Party
The ladies of the Methodist
church and friends of Rev
and Mrs Sullivan, took the
pastor on quite a surprise
Monday night.
After the pastor and his
family had gone to the church
to attend the lecture, the par-
sonage was over run with
"pounders" who filed the din-
ning table with many good
eatables and supplies. This
was a complete surprise to the
pastor* and his, family who
thoroughly appreciated the
occasion and especially the
many arm loads of supplies.
No doubt such visitors are al-
ways welcome at the par-
sonage.
