partment of the interior this morning
authorizing the advertisement to be in-
serted calling ioi- bids upon the court
houses and jails in each of the three
new counties, two school buildings in
the city of Lawton and one in Hobart.
The contract for these buildings will
be let by the department on Oct. 10th.

A series of three games of base ball
will be pliyed between the Lawton and
Comanche, I. T., teams,Saturday, Sun-
day and Monday. The games will no
doubt be unusually good as the Co-
manche club has nearly all of the
Chickasha League players. Lawton
has several new men and the team is

of republicans insist that Mr. Eckles,

for this position. The Hamon ele-

clerk, but he does not wanr, that
honor.
The skirmish lines are being formed
