Almost everybody who reads the news-

r-, j cures made by Dr.
III Kilmer's Swamp-Root,

- It is the great m'edi-
1 cal triumph of the rune-
teerfth century; dis-
covered after years of
u|:'j scientific research by
Dr. Kilmer, the emi-
" nent kidney and blad-
der specialist, and is
wonderfully successful in promptly curing
lame back, kidney, bladder, uric acid trou-
bles and Bright's Disease, which is the worst
form of kidney trouble.
Dr. Kilmer's Swamp-Root is not rec-
ommended for everything but if you have kid-
ney, liver or bladder trouble it will be found
just the remedy you need. 11 has been tested
in so many ways, in hospital work, in private
practice, among the helpless too poor to pur-
chase relief and has proved so successful in
every case that a special arrangement has
been made by«vhich all readers of this paper
who have not already tried it, may have a
sample bottle sent free by mail, also a book
telling more about Swamp-Root and how to
find out if you have kidney or bladder trouble.

A wide-awake lawyer in Hobart
concluded that he would build a house
and his lumber bill for the same
amounted to $1,200. When the lum-
berman presented his bill the lawyer
refused to pay it, on the ground that
there was a combination among the
lumber dealers. The court sustained
the lawyer. In the future lawyers
will probably pay Hobart lumber
merchants in advance.

Last week Sheriff Barker spent
most of the week in Kansas chasing,
James M. Seavers, wanted for the
alleged cause of the death of one of
the inmates of the Sanitarium. Mr.
Barker would have caught his man
had it not been information conyeyed
to Seavers by some parties in this
territory, which readied Seavers
just about three hours before Sheriff
Barker could reach him. Sheriff
Barker said that had not the in-
formation leaked out that warrant
had been sworn out for Seavers
arrest and that he had started after
him he would have caught his man at
Ossawattomie, Kansas; but before
Barker could reach Topeka the
Kansas City papers published the
fact of his coming and Seavers lied
three hours before Barker arrived.

CAUSE OF LOCKJAW.
Lockjaw or tetanus is caused by a
bacillus or yerm which exists plenti-
fully in street dirt. It is inactive so
long as exp-jsed to the air, but v. linn
curried beneath the skin as in the
wounds caused by percussion caps or
by rusiv nails, and when the air is
excluded the germ is roused t.o ftctivi
ty and produces the most virulent
poison known. The se germs may be
destroyed and all danger of lockjaw
avoided by applying Chamberlain's
Pain Balm freely as r mas the injury
is received. Pain Balm is an anti-
septic and causes such it,juries to heal
v lthout maturation and in onen'hird
the time required by the usual treat-
ment. It is for salo by Fred Reed.
