Blanche Morgan is absent be-

The Local Contest is to be on
Thursday evening April 18, in-
stead of on the 19th as was in-
tended. The place has been
changed, likewise, from the Uni-
versity chapel to the Opera house
About 80 students, members of
the M. E. league and their friends
went to Moore Saturday evening
April 6. Ope hay wagon, one
farm wagon, and 4 or 5 other
vehicles carried the happy com-
pany. They were cordially met
at the little village by friends,
given a welcome, supper and all
the other necessary attentions
of hospitality. The tent up for
the occassion was well tilled.
The visitors gave a short pro-
gram in which Miss Monroe's
reading and Mr. Hadsell's whis-
tling solo were especially well
done. Miss Longnecker and
Miss Morgan each j^ave a piano
solo. The Y. M. G. A. quartette
seemed inexhaustible. Every
body took part in the drive home.
