What Each Claims
From authorative source* it has been
heard that the Chinese indemnities for
war expenses, exclusive of the claims
of private individuals and missions
have been fixed a* follows:
Russia 380,000,000 infcrks (about $9u,-
000,000.)
France 260,(** .(> I marks (about $65.-
000.000.)
(Germany 240,000,000 marks (about
$60,060,000.)
England 80.000,000 marks (about ♦l'l'-
000,1100.)
France will also present claims for
the inidemnily of the Italian mission, j

as shown by the report of the Insur-
ance Commissioner for 1900, wrote
$-.787,000 in business in the territory;
an excess of $800,0(10 over the company
reaching the next highest mark. Of
this immense sum. J. C. Ilolius wrote

was city property and country store
business, the balance being on farm
property, country, school houses and
churches.

Caught Stealing Mail-
Guthrie, O. J., April 14-Kd Scott,
a negro porter of this city, was caught
robbing the boxes in the postofiieo to-
night. He had skeleton keys, and un-
ternd the lobby of the ofiice find began
[opening the lock botes. Assistant
postmaster li. F. Perkins who was in
I the back end of the office heard the
noise and came suddenly on Scott, and J
after a fierce struggle floored him and
held him until officers arrived. Let-'

been suspected of robbing, street mail
boxes for some time.
