The ladles of the M. E. church gave a
birthday social ln the church basement
rth last Friday night which was a most
decided succesa. There was at least 200
people in attendance and a neat sum of
money realized therefrom.
The Mystic Club, of Newkirk, enter-
tained the Progress and Tuesday After-
noon clubs of our city last Thursday.
Eleven ladies, representatives of both
clubs spent the day in Ponca City, and
are loud in their praises of the way the
Mystic Club entertained them.
Rev. and Mrs. White, of the Christian
church, were stormed by the members
of their church last Friday night, it be-
ing the 10th anniversary of their wedd-
ing. About seventy-five people were
in attendance. The members of the
Presbyterian church gave their pastor
Rev. Parvin and wife, a shower aocial on
Friday night. So the preachers were
strictly the big folks that night.
