An aged colored man named Bradford,”
of Winfield, the father of Mrs. Urefcne,"
fell dead Monday morning, from heart
disease while here temporarily. He
had arisen early as was his custom
and was sitting on the front portih of
the home in the north part of the
city when lie fell over and expired.’
The body was cared for by funeral di-
rector C. J. Carlson. Coroner Cannon
did not deem an inquest necessary.
A week or ten days ago a party
named Dale, of Missouri,arrived with
his w ife and two little girls on the
way to the new country and here met
the Bayards near the Pioneer school
house below town a few miles. The
uieu went on to the new couutry leav-'
ing the women with scant provision.
Sunday the Dale woman died aad the
neighboring farmers were called iu to
care for tlie deceased and the little
girls. They tenderly laid the tired
homeseeker to rest. Meanwhile 14
seems impossible to get word to Dale,
