Mrs. f'imson gave two quilting beis
and both were pleasant social gather-
ings. The dinners which were served
by the hostess were delicious.
The farmers in this community arc
ill good spirits over the line rains
they have had this fall. There was
another elegant rain yesterday. The
wheat that has been sowed is looking
immense, and farmers are still plow-
ing and sowing wheat.
There was a surprise party given to
Mr. and Mrs. Dale by thirty-eight of
their friends last Saturday evening.
Vocal and instrumental music, plays
etc., were the features of the evening,
and the evening was spent so pleas-
antly that the friends left reluctantly
at a late hour.
The Oak Dale Sabbath school was
largelv attended last Sabbath. They
have received their new literature-for
the next quarter. All must come out.
The friends and neighbors of Mr.
and Mrs. Howard gave them a sur-
prise party last Friday evening.
Music and watermelons were the
feast of the evening and everyone
enjoyed themselves.

democratic convention. The delegate
approached the candidate, telling

take notice that she has been sued by Dun-
can C. McKlnnon In the district court of

that she must answer the petition of the
plaintiff in said cause oa or before the 17th
day of September, 1894, or said petition will
be taken as true and judgment will be ren-
dered In the above entitled cause against
her forever dissolving the bonds of niatii-
monv heretofore existing between her and
said plaintiff and granting plaintiff an ab
solute divorce from the defendent; uls..
