Prop. 5. They agree in opposi-

term implies. Democratic votes
elected Hanna to his present seat in
the senate.
Prop. 6. They agree in opposi-

the country. Why did a Demo-

put an end to this issuing and con-
trolling power of the national banks?
Prop. 7. They agree in opposi-

backs. Was Senator Jones, chair
man of the Democratic national
committee, just jesting when he in-
troduced his bill in 1895 to retire
the greenbacks?
Prop. 8. They agree in opposi

(in 1895) called for funding the
remaining greenbacks into interest

Prop. 9. I hey agree and are a

on this proposition.

Chairman Laverty lias called
meeting of the Peoples Party terri-
torial committee for May, 7th at 10
©clock a. m., at Oklahoma City,
fcvery territorial committeeman is
Urged to attend this meeting.
Chairman Laverty informs us that
the old party press is telling fibs on
iiim. This don't surprise us in the
least. What does surprise us is that
our chairman thinks that he must
sneeze every time the Democrats pass
the snuff-box. If Chairman Laver
ty will just let the Democrat poli
ticians severely alone and commence
a vigorous hoeing out of the thistles
that have been springing up in the
Populists corn rows, instead of try
ing to assist the Democrats to clean
cut the thistles in their cornfields by
prescribing what they should do in
order to insure a harvest, the Peo
pies Party granary will have more
tram in it this fall. We believe a
good motto for our territorial chair
man to adopt and rigidly adhere to,
is to spend his time early and late
hoeing in the Peoples Party 'later
patch and save it from the weeds
and thistles. The patches of the two
old parties are too foul and the work
of rescue has begun most too late.
T he plants are too tender and splind-
ling to stand a removal of the weeds.
Those Nine Point*.
Gov. Barnes has been officially
notified by the secretary of war that
Oklahoma's quota for the war will
be one full troop of cavalry and one
company of 85 special mounted
riflemen.
Dr. John Threadgill has again re
newed a three year contract with
the territory for the care of the in-
sane. The new contract calls for
less per patient than old contract
that expires the tst of June. He has
also contracted with the United
States for the care of all the insane
Indians in the United States for a
number of years and will commence
the erection of buildings for the
cate of the same as soon as he
learns about what buildings will be
required.
COURT NOTES.

'ered their pleas, and the rest of the
da) and Thursday was devoted to

set for Monday, May 9th and par-

on to enter their pleas on that date.
