Mrs. Nellie Kllar of Norman, is
visiting her father Mr. Jamison for
a few days.
Mr. J. A. Lusk transacted busi-
ness in Norman Friday.

Grandma Baily was out to High-
land to preaching Sunday.
Mr. Less Greenhaw had quite an
accident this last week. His team
ran away with him, skinning his
head up a little, but not dangerous-
ly.
Mrs. Thomas Stout lias been ail-
ing several weeks with the rheuma-
tism, and at present writing is no
better.
Mr. R. Jackson is under the wea-
ther again.
Mr. John Hobaugh and wife have
left the country. We suppose they
have gone to Texas.

Christian Church, which met in
this city last week, was successful
in every sense of the word. 1 he
attendance was good and much in-
terest manifested and the work of
the church, especially in Norman,
received a new impetus.

ument Association of Frederick

ciation is raising funds for a suit-
able monument to the poet,
and they suggest, in the schools
and every where, upon or before
Flag Day (June 14th>. this subject
be suitably recognized. Contribu-
tion's however small, are asked for

building this monument. The Gov-
ernor of Maryland has strongly en-
dorsed the movement. The names
of all contributors will be preserved
in the crypt of the monument, and

history of the monument when
