There are two sorts of beggar.-,
those who carry a hag on their back
and the other sort who have u horse
and cart or sometimes it team ol
horses with a big wagon.
In the summer time in the country,
one sees whole families in these largo
vehicles. They use them as hout'es
when it is line. The country beggar
always tries hard to collect money
only, but when ho cannot succeed hi
condescends to accept other things-
eggs, pork, butter, Hour and the like
One of these beggars, with a ve-
hicle. was begging a few days ago in
a parish near Quebec. Among the
effects he had collected from different
farmers were two dozen eggs. Arm-
ing at a country store, the beggar
topped and bartered his two dozen
for a pair of stockings and some
food.
In the store at the time of tho bar-
gain stood a man who seemed harm-
less in tho eyes of the beggar. As
the beggar was about jumping on hi
riyer; 7 acres fine land, balance
pasture, mile from railroad sta-
tion; to trade for town lots in
Perry.

And tho beggar was marched to
tho capital to answer tlio charge.
