WHEN SALLIE GETS THE GIGGLES
When Sallie gets the giggles,
There ain't no use to try
To do one blessed bit of work,
Though it's piled mountain high.
She laughs at everything she sees,
Or hears or talks about;
In vain I try to reason,
She puts it all to flout.
She giggles at the prospects
Of rain upon the crop;
She knows as well as I do
The cotton squares will drop.
She giggles in the morning,
She giggles late at night;
She almost drives me crazy,
But that don't help a mite.
But when she's back to normal,
She s good at work, and spry;
But when she's got the giggles,
There ain't no use to try.

Oklahoma City Man
To Oerate on Wife
Of Norman Citizen
Thomas Stout, who lives on route
3 at the edge of Norman, was in town
yesterday and told us that he had
sent his wife to Oklahoma City,
where she will be under the care of
Doctor Stout with the Oklahoma City
clinic. She will be operated on about
Monday for goitre.
Mr. Stout has lived near Norman
for many years, having a large farm
east of town a good ways, where the
Oklahoma City doctor of the same
name was reared.
Mr. Stout now is working a four-
teen-acre tract. He has nine acres of
cotton which he says is in good shape,
although we have had a little too much
rain for this crop. He says corn was
never better, and that the cotton is
made if it can be saved.
