OUR NEIGHBORLY NEIGHBORS
The writer is glad to join others
in their happy thoughts when they
see the expansion and growth our city
has fallen heir to.
People who want to sell can ea>ilv
do so, many strangers have been at
tracted to our city and the scarcity of
houses is a healthy sign. There i> a
adness in a town full of vacant
houses.
To answer the question once for all,
our humble cottage is not for ale on
account of our neighbor!}- Neighbor ,
hood.
Just across the street a mirror of
beauty is reflected in our doorway by
the nicely kept lawn, owned, controll
ed and managed by Mrs. Minteer. Of
course, Mr. J. H. Minteer lives there
too, but he sleeps late and let- the
grtkss grow undisturbed.
On the other corners there is indus-
try, especilly so in Dr. DeBarr's yard,
that is undergoing transformation to
expose to the sun and air th«- virgin
soil that may enable blue gra«>s to
grow. Chemistry applied to the soil
will eventually make two or three
blades of grass grow, where now I home Tuesday after spending the
there is a desert. week-end with his wife an dson.
Our neighbors are neighborly nei-
ghbors and believe in civic improve-
ment. Watch the four corner > ot the |
earth in our neighborhood.
