zie Grieve, the two n'rmen, wVo
started last Sunday in an attempt
to fly across the Atlantic ocean
from St. Johns, N. F.. have been
picked up at sea and landed in
Scotland, Both men are in per-

since their "jump-off" last Sun-
day, came when the Mary, bound
from Norfolk to Aarhuus, rounded

plane," was the signal.
"Is it Hawker?" was the ques-
tion sent out by the flags from
the Butt, which is the most north-
westerly point of the Hebrides
group off Scotland.

cellent impression. He is the new
pastor of the Baptist church, and
a large number of his audience
had never before had the pleasure
of. hearing him. He took as his
text "Study to show thyself ap-
proved unto God, a workman that
need not be ashamed, rightly di-
viding the word of truth," and his
subject was "Service"—the bur-

matter how highly one was edu-
cated, it was of no avail unless
used along right lines; service to
God and to one's •fellow men.
There were thousands of activities
in which men andjvomen could use
their education to uplift the peo-
ple of the world, and it was given
