Owing to the low test of the
gusoline now being sold for com-
mercial and household purposes,
gasoline stoves have become a
drug on the market, and you can-
not even give them away. The
-writer has one he paid $40 or $50
for not many months ago, and
when he tried to sell it to the sec-
ond-hand dealers recently he wa? j
laughed at; they wouldn't even !
Kive it storage room. Oil stoves 1
stem to he taking their place |
but the old-fashioned wood or cook |
stove or range is still the favorite
—except to housekeepers who are i
compelled to hang over them and
bear the he.tt and burden of the |
day.
This gasoline situation is a
problem, and is getting rapidly
worse instead of better, and the
stuff is getting to such a low
grade that even automobile own- J
ers arc kicking and saying it is
poor beyond .ill reason.
The Transcript-Enterprise is
having a world of trouble with it.
It uses it on its gasoline Mergan-
thaler burners and every day the
machines are put out of commis-
sion several hours because the
gasoline will not generate enough
heat to melt the metal, and when
it does generate, the burners
smoke so horribly as to make life
in the workroom one long drawn
out nightmare. Electric pots
have been ordered, but the manu-
facturerei.s are so far behind
with orders that they write it will
be sixty or ninety days before they
can fill our order—so there we
are. We are endeavoring to
remedy the troubles, and hope to
succeed sooner or later, but if
your work is not got out on time
or articles do not appear when
you think they should, just re-
member that print shops have
troubles just as well as other
folks.

NOTICE
To The Public
On test runs of the new
llimited schedule advertised
for the Norman and El Reno
Interurban Divisions, to be-
come effective March 15th,
we find that in order to
make this schedule it wil be
necessary to re-arrange our
power distribution, which
will take probably sixty
days. We are therefore un-
able to put the schedule into
effect as advertised. We
will, however, run the limit-
ed servce daily as follows—
Leave Oklahoma City for
Norman 5:42 p. m., returning
from Norman at 6:30 p. m.
Leave Oklahoma City for
El Reno 5:17 p. m. and leave
El Reno for Oklahoma City at
7:30 p. m.
Additional tripper service
will also be given on the Nor-
man line Saturdays and Sun-
days.
