1908, all flat rates shell be abolished and tha in-
stalling motors for the parsons using gas at flat
ratea on said dais, shall bo borne by the said
Union Uis and Oil Company, its successors and

The said Union Gaa and Oil Company, its suc-
cessor* and ataigna, ahall be allowed and may
charge for gaa furnished 01 mater rates, the sum
of twenty-live cents per thousand cubic fact of
gaa consumed, sscept churches, and churches
shall be charged not 10 etceed 13 cents per thou-
sand cubic feet A reduction of ten per cent on oil
meter rates where amount exceeds fifty live cents
per month, shall be allowed if paid on or before
(be 3th day of the following inonlh.
All flat rata or mixer hill* shall be due and pay-
able on the firat day ot each and every month,in ad-
vance,end ell sums due for gas used al meter rates,
shall be due end payable 011 the isl day of (he
following month. If any bills be not paid by the
10th day of (he month, the supply of gas may be
cut off from any delin<|uent consumer and he ahall
be reijuiied 10 pay the turn of >1.00 before the gas is
again turned on. All gaa used (or domestic pur-
pose* to be furnished at a prasaure not to exceed
eight ounces per square inch.
Hec. >. That Section 9 of Ordinance No. t96
he end the same is hereby attended to read as
follows
On application of any consumer to the said
Union Uaa and Oil Company, its successors or
assigns, shall be requited to make an extensian of
one hundred feel from any of its established lines
for the purpose of supplying said applicant with
g»*.
Sec. 3. Thai Section 13 of Ordinance No. 196
be and the same is hereby amended to lead as
follow*:
The said Union Gaa and Oil Company, ila ttic-
custoia and assigns, ahall .tarnish to each con-
sumer of gas, a meter of modern make and im-
provement, within tan days after written applica-
tion therefor,upon the terms and conditiona.as fol-
lows, to-wit. Before installing a meter (or a con
aumer, the said consumer shall be required to de-
posit with the said Union Gas and Oil Company,
its successors and assigns, the sum of (3 .00 for
each meter necessary to measure the gss used by
said consumer as a guarantee for the safe return
of said meter, and the payment of all sums due
from said consumer to said Union Gas and Oil
Company, its successors and assigns. The aaid
sum of 8) 00 to be returned to said consumer upon
■lie raturn by him to the said Union Gas and Oil
Company, its successors and assigns, of said me-
ter in as good condition as when it was installed,
natuial wear and tear excepted, and the payment
of all sums due front said consumer to the said
Union Gas and Oil Company, its successors end
assigns.
Sec, 4. Sections 3, 9, and 13 of Ordinance No.
196 are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This ordinanca shall be in full force
and cited from and after its passage, approval
and publication in the official paper o( the said
City of Blackwell.

ORDINANCE NO. i8x.
An ordinance requiring, and making it the duty
of, every person, company or corporation, own-
ing, opsreting or using a railroad within the
City of Blackwell, Oklahoma, to maintain, re
pair and keep in good condition the streets
and avenues of said city at the place or places
along, upon or across which such railroad is
constructed or operated.
Be it ordsiued by the Mayer and Councilman of
o the City of Blackwell, Oklahoma Territory:
Section I. That it it hersby made the duty of
any person, company, or corporation owning,
operating or using a railroad within the City of
Blackwell, Oklahoma Territory, to tntintain, re-
pair and seep in good condition the streets, ave-
nues of said city at the place or places along,
upon or across which such railroad is constructed
or operatad That the streets and avenues at
such places ahall be properly graded and main-
tained in good condition for the proper use there-
of as a highway.
Section II. That upon the failure of any par-
son, company, or corporation owning, using or
operating a railroad within said city to comoly
with Section I of this ordinance, the street com-
missioner of the City of Blackwell, shall cause
such streets or avenues at such places to be
placed in a condition to comply with the provi-
sions of Section I of this ordinance, and the ex-
pense thereef shall be a charge against such of-
fending railroad company or corporation, and
shall be collected by aaid city by an appropriate
action instituted by said city against the oltending
railroad company or corporation.
Section III. That part of any ordinance in con-
flict herewith is hereby repealed.
Section IV. This ordinance shall take eff:ct
and be in (nil force from and after its passage,
approval and publication once in the official city
paper.

An ordinance creating and defining the bound-
aries of Server District Number-7, of the City
of Blackwell, Oklahoma Territory,
lie it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of
lhaCilyof Blackwell. Oklahoma Territory:
Section I. That there Is hereby created a dis-
tticl sewer in the City of Blackwell, Oklahoma
Territory, which ahall be known and designated
as Sewer District Number 7, ot said city.
Section If. Th at the boundaries of said sewer
district are hereby established and defined aa fol
lows: From the center of Dstrey avenue on the
uerth to the center of McKinley avenue on the
tooth; from th* center of First stteeton the east
to the eastern boundary line of the right-of-way of
the Atchiaon, Topeka It Sants Fe railway on the
west. That said district ahall include the atreeta
and avenue* within the boundaries thereof, and
the following blocks, numbered 61, fit and 63, in
lb a City of Blackwell.
Section III. All ordinances and parts of ord-
inances in conflict herewith are heieuy repealed.
Section IV. Thit ordinance shall take aflact
and be in force from and after its passage, ap*
praval and publication once in tha official city
p aper.
