I President Roosevelt: Did you
opi>o3e the adoption of the con-

Knipe: I fought it hard.
Presidcut Roosevelt: Did your
home township give 207 major-
ity for the constitution with you
fighting it?
Knipe: Yes, I think so.
President Roosevelt: Did you
tell your people that you would
leave the state if the constitution

busy today. When you get home
send in your application and the
Secretary of the Interior will
send you a list of questions to
answer. Good-bye.
Knipe returned from the White
House swearing that he had
seen files of the Perkins Journal.
His words were almost inaudible.
But your correspondent thought
he heard thefollo\ving:“Damn the
Journal. I have tr ied to down it.
But the more I fight the paper
the more it prospers. I prepared
some stuff to be published under .
an assumed name while I am in
Washington. What will the har-
vest be?
“I see by the Congressional
Record that the Senate has con-
firmed R cketts for postmaster.
I will return home and declare
from the house tops that I was
in Washington to have him con-
firmed. Perkins shall never know

Don't Read This.
If the subject of personal ap-
pearance counts but little; to
those who know nothing of enun-
ciation as a fine art; who never
plan for future comfort and
health, or with whom hygiene
and cleanliness is a vague fancy
unworthy of serious considera-
tion, a tooth is of little value.
The improvements made in
methods employed in restoring
contour, youth, tone and expres-
sion to the face are such that it
is possible for a skillful dentist
to ward off the appearance of
age by from ten to twenty years.
Thousands are suffering agony
untold because they do not know
where to get relief, or have not
the educated courage to apply
to the dentist.
You should have your teeth
examined now.
