Mrs. Ora B. Vroom of Ft. Worth,
Texas, and Grace F. Gordon of

Sergt. Arthur E. Scroggs, ma-
chine gun company, 357th infan-
try, returns to Stillwater from
overseas with two citations for
heroism and recommentation for
the Distinguished Service cross.
The citations are for extraordin-
ary bravery displayed in silenc-
ing machine guns both at St. Mi-
hiel and around Bantheville.

break pedal kicked back strik-
ing his foot bruising it to such
an extent that he is using crutch-
es to get about.
Chas. A. Guy of Tulsa, gener-
al manager for the Victor Refin-
ing company was in Yale Friday
looking after the company’s in-
terests here. The company has
leased the Pawnee Refining plant
and will immediately resume op-
erations. They are also contem-
plating the rebuilding of the
plant destroyed by fire Friday
morning.
