Miss Myrtle Rotchford, one of the
teachers In the Stillwater public
schools, was in the city Saturday.
Miss Rotchford taught two yeais tn
the Perkins schools and was very
popular with the patrons.
George W. Oliver baa a sale today
at the home of N. O. Thoroughman
northwest of Perkins. Mr. Oliver
has rented his farm to his brother
and will move to Wichita, Kansas.
Mr. Oliver Is a good citizen and it is
to be hoped that he will return to
Perkins.
Hon. J. W. McNeal, of Guthrie,
was in the city Saturday. lie was
here to look after some biuincss in-
terests but was not adverse to erecting
his political fences. Mr. McNeal has
many friends in this vicinity who
would like to see him the next
congressman from Oklahoma.
D. H. Fernandes, is spoken of as a
possible candidate for the office of city
attorney. Mr. Fernandes has had a
great deal of experience in damage
suits, and as the city has a good
healthy suit pending, it might be a
cheap way to get his services by
electing him city attorney.—Stillwater

John P. Hlckani and wife were in
Ripley Saturday, the guests of John
P. Hinkle and family. Mr. Hickara is
the able editor of the Perkins Journal
and also principal of the Perkins pub-
lic schools. He addressed the people
at the entertainment Saturday night
